Direct messages
Text or media, each stamped with the sender's photo and time. The thread opens at the newest message.
eljo is a mobile chat app for the people who actually matter. Direct messages one to one, private circles for the group — with two-factor sign-up and a profile only your contacts see.

Built for the people who actually matter, on iOS and Android
A short list. Every one of these ships in the app today.
Text or media, each stamped with the sender's photo and time. The thread opens at the newest message.
Name it, describe it, give it a photo, then pull contacts in. Posts and replies live inside the circle and nowhere else.
Every photo and video from a circle or a thread collects into one grid. Tap a tile to open it full size.
Archive a message or a whole circle and it leaves your list alone. Everyone else carries on as normal.
Anyone from your phone contacts who is on eljo, anyone you shared a circle with, plus anyone you add by link.
Sign-up texts you a code before the account exists, then emails a validation link to confirm the address.
Name, email twice, password twice, phone number. Agree to the terms and eljo texts you a code.
Enter it and your account is created. You are signed in, and a validation email follows to confirm the address.
Grant contact access and the list fills from your phone. Or share an invite link and add someone by hand.
Give it a name, an optional photo and description, pick your members, press create.
The landing screen once you are signed in: your circles, your direct messages, and an activity feed carrying the last post or comment from every circle you are active in.
Real messages from eljo's own beta circles, and what the product commits to. No customer reviews have been written for this page.
Free on iOS and Android. Sign up with your phone number, confirm the code, and you are talking.
Questions go to support@eljoapp.com
Eljo uses SMS text messages for two purposes only: (1) to send one-time verification codes (OTP) to verify your identity when you register or log in, and (2) to notify you when another Eljo user invites you to join their Circle. You will only receive SMS messages if you explicitly opt in during the app registration process by checking a consent checkbox on the registration screen. The checkbox reads: “I agree to receive SMS messages from Eljo (My Circle LLC) including one-time verification codes and Circle invitation notifications. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt-out.” This checkbox is not pre-checked. You must actively check it to consent. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for assistance.
